چکیده

Purpose: To investigate the effect of vomit seed homeopathic drugs (14CH and 30CH) on paracetamolinduced toxicity in rats.
Methods: Thirty-two male Wistar rats were divided into 4 groups 8 animals each (n = 8) treated for 12 days. During treatment period, group (G) one (G1) which constitutes control received filtered water, whereas two (G2), three (G3), four (G4) gavaged with a toxic dose paracetamol 1/4 LD50. Next, Strychnos nux-vomica (0.5 mg/kg) dilutions 14CH 30CH administered to G3 G4, respectively. Hematological, biochemical, antioxidant markers assessed.
Results: Homeopathic drug groups, namely showed significant recovery some hematological (red blood cells count hemoglobin concentration; p < 0.01) biochemical parameters (urea, creatinine, glutamic transaminase, alkaline phosphatase; 0.001). The level malondialdehyde significantly decreased while glutathione increased Conclusion: anti-hemolytic properties seeds protect against acute by reducing oxidative stress, hepatotoxicity, nephrotoxicity rats.
